Second Amendment

May 04

Rep. Darrell Issa has now finished making his case for holding Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress.

Holder, who once stated he wants to see kids brainwashed into supporting gun control, has presided over a Justice Department that helped smuggle thousands of illegal guns into Mexico, all for the purpose of justifying greater restrictions upon firearms in the U.S.

This Fast & Furious scandal has resulted in the deaths of more than 300 Mexican nationals, plus two U.S. federal agents.

Issa has published a pair of documents that makes the case for pinning contempt charges on Holder and has sent them to every member of his Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Issa’s case is based, in part, upon the fact that Holder’s Justice Department “has yet to provide a single document for 12 out of the 22 categories contained in the subpoena schedule.”  In many cases, documents provided by the Department have been completely or mostly blackened out.

Sources on Capitol Hill believe that Issa has the votes to push a contempt citation out of committee.  However, it is unclear whether House Speaker John Boehner is supportive of such a citation.

Fox News reports “that Boehner and House Republican Leader Eric Cantor do not want to deal with a contempt citation against Holder because ‘it’s off message for them.’”

Well, gun owners need to help Boehner see that this is “on message” for him.  This is a quest for justice, as Eric Holder needs to be held accountable for the lies, deceptions and dead bodies left in the wake of Fast & Furious.

Already, more than 100 congressmen have called for Holder’s resignation.  Holding Eric Holder in contempt could bring a fine of $1,000 and a year in jail.

ACTION: Please ask your Representative to urge House Speaker John Boehner to get fully behind a contempt citation against Eric Holder.

The reported reason: They simply do not want to be associated with gun companies

By Bob Owens, PJ Media, With Permission

Bailout recipient Bank of America has severed relations with an American company because of a reported bias against their industry. McMillan Group International released an extraordinary statement on Facebook regarding the incident:

McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Firearms Manufacturing, McMillan Group International have been collectively banking with Bank of America for 12 years. Today Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking came to my office. He scheduled the meeting as an “account analysis” meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them. He spent five minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last five years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories. read on

The AF2011-A1 Double Barrel Pistol comes actually as the very first industrial double barrel semiautomatic pistol of all times. The original idea came about ten years back to Swiss armourer Vivian Mueller, who at the time experienced cutting and welding together multiple parts of the famous Sig P210: the result was a long slide, double barrel 9mm, highly decorated collector piece, which indeed shot very well. Our idea took the challenge further: to commemorate the legendary Colt 1911-A1 in the Centenary by making a true industrial market-ready double barrel .45 caliber pistol.

Virginia may be on the verge of saying “NO!” to one of the most blatant abuses of federal power in recent years.

As you know, at the end of last year, Congress passed and Barack Obama signed a defense authorization bill which contained a provision [section 1021] allowing American citizens to be arrested on American soil, detained indefinitely, tried in a military court, and deported to a Third World country for torture.

An American could be detained if he “substantially supported” an individual who engaged in a belligerent act against the U.S. or its allies, whether knowingly or unknowingly. read on

A Christian attorney and expert on terrorism says newly uncovered documents reveal that Attorney General Eric Holder wasn’t truthful in the statements he made about “Operation Fast and Furious.”

Representative Darrell Issa (R-California) of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has threatened a contempt of Congress ruling against Holder for failing to turn over the subpoenaed documents about how his department handled congressional inquiries after problems with Operation Fast and Furious came to light. read on

First, the good news: Fox News is reporting that due to an amazing outpouring of opposition, the vote on the so-called anti-piracy legislation — which could muzzle websites like GOA’s — has been postponed. Thank you all for your activism … and please stay tuned to further updates on this issue.

Now for the bad news:

The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia issued a setback to gun owners. The issue involved a lawsuit challenging Barack Obama’s illegal multiple sales regulations. [NSSF v. Jones, Acting Director, BATFE.]

Through those regulations, Obama has demanded, by regulatory fiat, that firearms licensees in four southwestern states report multiple sales of certain long guns to the federal government. read on

Welcome News for Gun Owners

By Gun Owners of America

Two pro-gun conservatives recently announced they were running against Utah Senator Orrin Hatch.

This is welcome news for gun owners. In a Senate career that has lasted more than 35 years, Hatch has not been a particularly good friend of the Second Amendment.

During negotiations over the 1986 McClure-Volkmer Firearms Owners Protection Act — designed to protect gun owners from abuses of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms — Hatch sat at the negotiating table next to officials of the ATF and argued against the pro-gun positions of Sen. Jim McClure. read on

Boogai: David Codrea was the first to break the story on the Fast and Furious gun-walking scandal.

By Florida Gun Shows

On Nov. 16, 2011, the US Congress approved a National Right to Carry bill by a vote of 272 to 154. The bill was sponsored by Congressman Cliff Stearns of Florida. Every Republican Congressman and Congresswoman voted for this bill.

The entire Democratic Congress in Florida voted against your right to carry nationwide.

We urge you to call your Democratic senator now.  For Florida, that would be Sen. Bill Nelson 202-224-5275 to adopt this bill in the US Senate and bring it to Harry Reid for a vote.
