JERUSALEM, Israel — With Islamists poised to take over governments overthrown during the “Arab spring,” Christians and other minorities may soon be subject to Sharia (Islamic) law.

Some say assurance by Islamist groups, such as the Muslim Brotherhood, Salafis, and Ennahda, that non-Muslims would not be mistreated under Sharia is, at best, questionable.

In Egypt, attacks on Coptic Christians have increased exponentially since the fall of Hosni Mubarak’s regime last year. read on

Pastor John Starke of All Souls Church has written an excellent blog post describing how his church that meets in a public school on the Upper West Side will be affected if they are forced to move out February 12 after the Supreme Court declined to review the Bronx Household of Faith case. He was one of the pastors and other religious leaders who gathered with a half dozen NYC city councilmembers who are working to repeal the department of education’s policy banning private worship services during nonschool hours. read on

Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s TV spot accusing President Obama of waging “war on religion” is reckless and overstated and exploits prejudice against gays while deliberately distorting major issues. But here’s the surprise: Perry has a point.

The First Amendment forbids any law “prohibiting the free exercise” of religion. It’s a broad statement that’s open to interpretation on the details. Alliance Defense Fund Stands Ready to Defend Christmas

By Jim Jenkins. ADF

The Grinch didn’t steal Christmas, Christians gave it away. We gave it away to the secularists, and we laid it on the altar of political correctness, where it has been slowly silenced and maligned. Where Christmas was perhaps the most celebrated spiritual holidays of the Christian world, and respected by Christians and non-Christians alike, in America it has now, by and large, been relegated to a “season” or “holiday” for the frenzied purchase of unneeded merchandise, to be distributed by Santa Claus. And the sad fact is that Christians are more responsible for this sad turn of events than even atheists. read on
