My son was diagnosed with ALL almost 2 years ago. He’s been on chemotherapy for almost 2 years. He’s on remission, and according to treatment schedule it will take more than 1 1/2 years more for his treatment. This son has been cleared or with normal blood count for more or less one year, I think. I just decided to stop it, because I believe in GOD’s power and the effort to keep and even increasing the good life style and anything especially diet related to my son’s health with his other 2 siblings and all of us. Just last Monday, after seeing by the nurse, having the blood drawn/sample, and Doctor’s assessment, I told the doctor that I will not continue this chemotherapy, thinking that I am as a parent could take the decision or having a right to do it. The doctor had me talked with the social worker and with kind of a little upset said that he will still report it to the CPS. This child is one of the 3 adopted children, adopted more than 1 year, but has been with us for almost 4 years. I as a mother has been most of the time with them for their most of their activities since they’ve been with us. The father was not with us for about 1 1/2 year, and last January came to us. I told the husband about my plan before and after I told it to the doctor, but then the husband did not agree. The CPS & sherriff came and since I don’t want to be separated with these children, I agreed to make an appointment on this coming Monday again. I love this son so much and do no like this poisonous therapy damage this son with the side effects, since I know for sure he will be much healthy without it. What can I do?

I met with my local school board last week about their policy of requiring a doctor’s prescription for non-prescription medicine and a parent waiver which has to be renewed every 30 school days. After much dicussion, the attorney for the board admitted it was NOT a liability issue. The Board said it was a safety issue. In other words: “parents are not competent enough to choose which non-prescription drugs for their children, so we will do it for you by requiring a doctor’s prescription.”
So we have no more PUBLIC schools, but GOVERNMENT schools.
